Etude House Like20...,like, love...

It's time to get real with my skin problems, people. As much as I long to use only the cutest products, now is the time to go for some serious efficacy whether or not the packaging is shaped like an adorable piece of produce or an animal.

Awhile back I discovered EH's Like20 line and it sounded AH-mazing- super-moisture for aging but geared for younger skin that shouldn't be smothered in heavy creams. With my horrible dryness+aging (lines and roughness)+insane blackheads it sounded perfect. Turns out? It is. First I'm going to do a quickie review of each item and then more detailed posts later as I purchase full sizes of some.

I didn't have a ton of moolah for trying out new, full-sized products so I went for this trial kit:

Pic from love-youl on ebay- I ordered it from them and would definitely order from them again!

I'll start from the left:

Booster Essence- I'm assuming one uses this as the first step after cleansing and toning. (I always think of toner as a cleansing step since I grew up with SeaBreeze and Oxy pads for stripping all the gunk out LOL.) All the 'essences' I've tried have been liquidy but this is a gel until it hits your face, when it spreads all over with very little effort. Even before I use anything else I feel moisture so that gave me a lot of confidence in the line.
Verdict: probable repurchase

Eye Concentrate- The only one that didn't like me. I put it on the first night I had it and woke up feeling like I'd slept in contacts! Nicht gut. My eyes were so, so dry and it took hours for them to feel normal. Lame, because the product felt really nice and moisturizing *around* my eyes.
Verdict: nope :-(

Finishing Cream- Finishing because it's the final step but also, for me anyway, because it makes my skin so smooth and moisturized that it makes a fantastic day cream before makeup. It absorbs beautifully, immediately smoothing roughness that my Tony Moly Milk Tea Morning Pack can't handle. More details to come because...
Verdict: definite repurchase

All Day Cream Pact- The curious one! There's nothing else like this (that I know of) and with a little tweaking the concept could be a big addition to the skincare-makeup-hybrid area. I say 'makeup' because Etude House touts this as being useful before and over makeup to smooth and sooth dry, rough patches.  Great idea with a few drawbacks. I tried it before and it does make an excellent primer for very dry skin. Over makeup, it faded my BB coverage but didn't goop up or anything so it still looked ok. It did make the parts of my face that had become tight and dry since that morning feel awesome again! Of course I don't think it would be good to layer over powder so definitely sort of case-by-case effective. I tried using it throughout a no-makeup day and it worked great, but I used *so much* of it! It wouldn't be very economical unfortunately.
PS: Etude House, you know what would rock my world? A spray version that did all the same things!
Verdict: possible repurchase; most likely in winter

So those are my thoughts! Hope they're helpful to someone :-) Stay up!
